AM Media’s latest offering ‘Tilly and Friends’ premieres today on CBeebies.

Tilly’s world is one which children will be able to relate to and where friendship is at the heart of everything. Tilly loves having her friends around her and always makes time for them with all sorts of imaginative play, discovering the joys and challenges of friendship.

The 52 x 11 minute series encourages creativity in a world of everyday adventures. Made by JAM Media and Walker Books Productions and based on the books by Polly Dunbar, the series examines the true values of friends and the essence of real love and friendships. Produced by Mark Cumberton, the Executive Producers are John Rice (for JAM), Helen McAleer (for Walker Books Productions) and Jackie Edwards (for CBeebies).

The company, which employs 56 full time staff, won Producer of the Year at the Cartoon Tribute Awards last weekend, beating off competition from 30 other countries.

What an exciting week for us! We are hugely honoured to receive an award of this calibre and extremely excited to see our creation ‘Tilly and Friends’ make its debut on Cbeebies on BBC, today. It’s testament to the talent that a small country like Ireland can produce, there are over 30 countries participating in this three day event which represents massive competition and it makes us extremely proud that we have been selected to receive this Award.
